<description>The question of "should I take supplements on rest days" is a very good question that very few weight lifters give much consideration to.

To get quickly to the main point and skip over the minor details this is what I recommend to most people.

#1- if you are taking a multi-vitamin mineral tablet (which you should be) you will want to take that every day without exception. The detailed reasons for this are many but the main reason is that even most natural fruits and vegetables are not as loaded with these nutrients as they should be. Farming practices of using fertilizers, no crop rotation, and early harvesting are but three of many reasons for taking a multi vit-min everyday.

Taking and extra dose of vitamin E, B, and C are also recommended for daily use.

ALL OTHER SUPPLEMENTS like Protein powders, Creatine, and so called "sports supplements" can be cycled to save yourself money and guage progress to see if the so called SUPER SUPPLEMENT is actually giving you any real noticable physical improvement.

Just remember that no matter what you may hear about the benefit of a certain sport supplement, the only thing that matters in the end is if YOU SEE PROGRESS from taking the supplement. If not, quit taking the supplement and save yourself some $$$$$
