I have found that 5-7 reps works best for me in most body parts. But higher reps for calves and abs 10-20. Also legs respond to both lower and higher reps. After properly warming up i choose a weight that Is very demanding that i expect to get no more than 5 reps with. When i can get 7 reps then Increase the weight the next time.
